FREQUENTLY USED SIRE
| The AKC requires that any stud dog that
sires more than three litters in a single year, or more than 7 litters
total, must have a DNA profile on record at AKC before they will register
any new litters. This is called a "Frequently Used Sire" program. A DNA
profile is like a DNA fingerprint and can be used to verify paternity when
necessary.
